The gallery Tanakaya, created in Paris in 1988 by Tamio Ikeda, specialized in Japanese art from the 17th to the 20th century, mainly presents Ukiyo-e and Shin-Hanga Japanese prints, ceramics for the Tea Ceremony and lacquerware.
It also exhibits paintings by 20th century Japanese artists, including Kumi Sugaï, Munakata Shikô, Tôko Shinoda, Tsuguharu Foujita, Sato Key … The gallery regularly participates in international art fairs, such as Tefaf in Maastricht or Brafa in Brussels etc..
