Jill Newhouse represents the fourth generation of a family of art dealers. Her gallery, created in 1980, specializes in works on paper by 19th century French masters such as Corot, Delacroix, Géricault, J. F. Millet and Th. Rousseau as well as 20th century artists such as Vuillard, Bonnard, Degas and Matisse.
The gallery has organized, in collaboration with specialists, monographic exhibitions devoted to drawings by important artists such as Auguste Rodin (2011), Edouard Vuillard (2012 and 2017), Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (2012), Theodore Géricault (2014), Auguste Herbin (2015), Pierre Bonnard (2018), Eugène Delacroix (2018), and JF Millet (2022.
Since 2000, Jill Newhouse, in collaboration with M. Dieterle and Claire Lebeau, has appraised Corot’s drawings and prepared the catalog raisonné with them. Christa Savino, director of the gallery since 2004, is also specialist in the conservation of works on paper.
